Thirtysomething Manhattanite Bonnie Indermill, tired of temping and ready for a little job security, was hoping that the Richards & Goode Corporation would offer her something permanent. But then the CEO, "Dorfmeyer the Downsizer," turns up dead, killed with a gun that may have Bonnie's fingerprints on it. And now if she doesn't find out who "terminated" the boss, the only security she'll have will be the maximum kind.

This is not my style of mystery, but that is entirely opinion. It's a sort of "hard-boiled" female detective style of writing, although the female is only somewhat hard-boiled herself. Not my cup of tea ... come to think of it, I'd prefer a more cozy, British style mystery ... and a cup of tea with it.
