The Vintage Magic series just gets better and better--I love every book even more than its precedents, which is saying a lot, because I was a fanatic of the first book. I like that Maddie's world keeps evolving. Relationships begin and blossom, details and storylines carry over from one book to the next, and I really get the sense of moving forward--I don't feel like Maddie is stuck in a time bubble like some mystery detectives are. I am especially swooning over the love triangle shaping up--I won't say between who, just in case you're reading this review without having read the first and/or second book(s). As I've mentioned in my reviews of the other books in the series, the "magic" element is important to the story, but it by no means takes over the storyline--don't be deterred if paranormal isn't necessarily your thing.
Cute mystery, if you like the others in this series will like this one.
Madeira Cutler loves her Vintage Magic boutique, but the 'visions' she gets from the garments can be hard to handle, especially when she knows the owner. At first she's thrilled to receive a package containing the beautifully bejeweled dress she designed for actress and old friend Dominique Delong while in fashion school. But the dress comes with a disturbing message from Dominique, who it seems took her last bow under very mysterious circumstances.
This a very cute series with a little bit of romance, a twist of fate, a little bit of the magical quality she puts in her books. I really liked this whole series.
