Death of a Crabby Cook takes place in San Francisco ~ a great location for a food truckers' Seafood Festival. The local brick and mortar restaurant owners are not too happy having them near by as they feel the food truckers take their business away from them. One of the restaurant owners is murdered and the suspect list grows amongst those who had spats with him. Then there is another murder, this time it's a food truck owner, adding another twist to the already increasing suspect list. Darcy who is the MC was laid off from her restaurant reviewing job at the Chronicle because of economic woes. She decides she wants to publish a cookbook containing recipes from food truckers. She then joins her Aunt Abby who owns a School Bus truck and helps her out during the festival. Aunt Abby and her son Dillon who is always in disguise are a hoot! I was totally out of the blue on who the murderer(s) was until the very end of the book when revealed. Definitely looking forward to the next episode of Darcy, Aunt Abby, Dillion and the food truckers. Can't wait!
