Not a bad first novel in a series. Many of the chapters become redundant and too much descriptoin of walk up one Boston Street to another. I lived in Boston for 5 years so I know the area and the author is from Boston, but if you were not from Boston you would not care about going up and down one street or the other. Female characters very whining not too likeable. I have the sequal and may give it a try.

I like stories of this period. This was a quick reading pleasant story...no fuss..the characters were likeable
and I was impelled to read on to see what happened to people I thought interesting. It would not keep me up at night but pleasant rading.
