I really enjoy this series especially the macabre touch of his psychopathic brother

Very well written, intense, meets or exceeds the promise of his first book (The Hundredth Man). He has a third book out now as of 2006, I will have to buy it new then will share here!

I love the main characters, Carson and Harry. I find myself laughing out loud in places with their quirky sense of humor in the midst of scary things. I liked "The Hundredth Man", but this book is better. It is a very well-woven mystery and it will keep you guessing to the end. This book can stand alone-if you had not read the first in this series, you would not be lost, and it is a thoroughly enjoyable read, but there are references to the first one made. I highly recommend this if you enjoy a good mystery and colorful characters.
I enjoyed this murder mystery quite a bit - particularly the new twist on the relationship of detective and Hannibal Lector-like guide to murders. I was disappointed that I read the second book first, but I am looking forward to reading the first book, and then the third in the series. I liked the characters, the setting, the writing - all in all, I really enjoyed it!
Another great book in the series featuring Carson Ryder. Lots of twists and turns . Highly recommmend
Like these characters, even the insane brother(now you're curious aren't you)
