Nice beginning to a series. Ex-FBI agent Jeff Talbot is a "picker" or a finder of antiques. Talbot is attending a special auction at an Antique Festival in hopes of purchasing at auction a Cabaret Tea Set that has great meaning to an old client/friend. The search, of course, leads to murder and a sinister plot that may keep the tea set out of his hands.

Introducing the first book in a series centered around antique collectors. The main character, Jeff Talbot, is formerly FBI and now is an antique picker. This story takes place at an antique gathering and auction where murders take place. Very good new series.

While searching for the perfect Cabaret set (hot chocolate pot for those of us who didn't know) he finds one--being placed for auction. Unfortunately, there are more dead bodies than pots of chocolate!

Enjoyable first book in series.
In this day of antique pickers on TV this may seem tame stuff but it gives the reader a great view of why "old" stuff is so compelling to collectors.
Love this series - wish there were more than 5 books!
