If you are the child of alcoholic parent(s), this book may be a tough yet helpful read, as it was for me. Famous Minnesota-born comic Louie Anderson writes about growing up in poverty with an abusive, alcoholic father in the form of a series of letters to his now-dead father. He starts the book out with the question that all of us who live with and love alcoholics, no matter if they are a parent, spouse, sibling..."Why did you drink, Dad, why?"
