jjares reviewed Dean Martin: A Life from Beginning to End (Biographies of Musicians) on + 3405 more book reviews
This book was more interesting than usual because the author concentrated on Dean Martin and his family. The recounting of his hit movies and record sales played second fiddle to the family's difficulties. This made Dean Martin seem more real and human.
The only thing that surprised me was the omission of Dino Martin's success as a musician. He was part of Dino, Desi & Billy. I know they had at least one hit record. But, of course, this is the same man who died at 35 years in an airplane crash mentioned in this ebook.
