Denton Police Department has been hunting for Krystal Duncan for almost a week. She disappeared from her home and hasn't been seen since...that is until Detective Josie Quinn finds Krystal's body in a cemetery sitting near her daughter's grave. Krystal's lips are sealed together with wax. Evidence on the body points back two years to a devastating school bus accident that killed five children, one of them Krystal's daughter. As Josie and her team interview the grieving parents, they learn that each parent is keeping secrets from the day of the accident. Are any of these secrets worth killing for?
This story picks up about four months after the last. Josie is grieving the loss of a family member. It's her first day back to work when she finds Krystal's body. The story deals with Josie's grief, and the grief of the parents who lost their children in the bus crash.
The suspects are plentiful in this book; and the secrets are crazy. These people had more secrets than the characters of General Hospital and Days of Our Lives put together. I had to take notes to keep track of everything that came to light. I had a theory about the identity of the killer, but I was way off base. The killer was a big surprise for me. My rating: 5 Stars.
