Lora, a firefighter, calls in the SSD when she suspects they have a serial arsonist. She also lost her firefighter boyfriend in one of the arsonist's blazes. It's become personal for her. Kenton, is one of the agents assigned to the case.
I did like the beginning, Lora saves Kenton. Lora is pretty kick ass and holds her own with Kenton (who is also a pretty big alpha). I liked the pacing and while this is pretty insta-love, I did like the epilogue that showed the relationship was taking a big stride forward. The couple from the other book (Monica and Luke) also make a big stride in their relationship (it's a blink and miss it, but this isn't their book).
This book is a pretty good example of good romantic suspense. The romance is front and center with the suspense taking a backseat, but it's not way in the back (make sense?). The suspense is still a good part of the story.

Mostly just skimmed through this one--it has so many pages just about a sex scene, 6-8 at one time is way too much and I don't read a book for that, so I found a lot of these pages unnecessary to the story so I just skimmed pages for the main story and zipped right through it, can't give it better than a 2.5 stars though.

I was actually able to read the first in this series,Deadly Fear, and I really enjoyed it. So I was expecting quite a bit from this one. I have to say I was not disappointed. Cynthia has an ability to really get into the head of a killer. And while her ability is sometimes a bit creepy, it makes for an awesome story!

I like that this story follows one of the characters from the first story. Although Kenton wasn't the main character in the first book he did play a part and so he was a "familiar face" so to speak. But in addition to the "old" characters Eden does a great job of adding new characters to the mix.

The story, like Deadly Fear, is a bit on the disturbing side. But it's a great read. This one really keeps you guessing. I actually had guessed who it was early in the story, but then other things kept happening and I changed my guess a few times. I love when a book does that.

This was also a very fast read. The writing style and pace of the story are done so well that I got so caught up in the story it only took me two sittings to finish the whole thing.
