2nd in series. Not quite as good as the first one...but maybe the next one will be better.

Great mystery series. This is the second in the cardmaking mystery series. If you love Child's scrapbooking mystery series and tim myers soap and candle mysteries-- you will love this series.

What the mystery itself lacked was made up for by the characters and atmosphere. I look forward to reading the others in the series.

It's a bit difficult to believable that a single, self-dependent person could make a living at a custom greeting card shop with no other means of support. This whole premise just seems really far-fetched for this type of series. But, then again she seems to have customers and tourists so who am I to judge?
Jennifer comes across as stubborn, arrogant and belligerent at times. I found myself thining I wouldn't do that. Almost like the monster movies, silly woman don't go in the basement or in the attic.
I was a bit disappointed too that Jennifer was supposed to move into an apartment that might be haunted and there were a couple of "possibles" but it really wasn't covered. Why did people think it was haunted? A previous tenant lived there one day. It was never told why she only lived there a day. At the end of the story Jennifer is moving out of the apartment for no good reason that I could judge. Beyond the fact that she couldn't seem to get along with her neighbors. But with work when would she see them?
In spite of all this I am looking forward to book #3.

Again a good cozy mystery. However, I have to repeat that Tim Myers should stick to writing mysteries with men as the main characters. He just is not good at portraying a believable female MC. Jennifer is just as dense and annoying as she was in the first book. I hope book #3 will be better in that regard. I love the other characters, especially Aunt Lillian. Between them and the plot line I do like, not love, this series.

Great story line. I was captivated from the start~
Despite the premise of someone making a living from a handmade greeting card store, this was an enjoyable book with a sympathetic amateur sleuth.

2nd in series, enjoyed it very much. Good mystery, interesting sub-characters, main characters getting better. Again, no foul language or overt sex. Great to read a good book with clean language and good characters. Looking forward to number 3.
