Fascinating information in this book...a great follow up to "For Laci" by Laci Peterson's mom, Sharon Rocha. Such a sad tragic end to a beautiful young woman and her unborn son.

This book is definitely a great read! I liked that it was chronologically written, so you didn't have to flip back and forth to know what was going on. Definitely recommend!

A great reporting of the murder, the clues that led up to the solution, and finally the trial! This is one of the best true crime stories I've read. The author has plenty of legal experience and she writes as a pro. Scott Peterson is a sociopath who cooly killed his wife and unborn baby, without skipping a beat. He was already courting another woman, Amber Frey, even before the killing of his wife. And yet his parents, to the bitter end of the trial, continued to "cry innocent." Sociopaths are very good at pulling the wool over the eyes of unsuspecting friends, relatives, and everyone else they come upon in life.

This is a fascinating story. There is a lot of behind-the-scenes stuff, and courtroom information. The author injected herself and her views into this story more than usual with a true crime.

For those who are interested in the mind set of killers, this book is a good read. Using the facts of the case, the author creates a picture of a man so self absorbed that he cannot think beyond his ability to charm people, even to the extent of believing that he can kill and get away with it. A good read about a real person and incident.

This book was a very interesting view into the mind of a sociopath. Disturbing at times, but a very well-written book.

This is my fourth book of reading on the Scott & Laci Peterson murder and trial. It is most informative and interesting. Scott is a total sociopath, but with the other books that I have read, I am still not totally convinced that he actually killed Laci. There are some witnesses that were not brought fourth in the trial (the defense attorney did not seem to really do his job), that would have given me a doubt, at least enough not to agree that Scott should be on death row. I still have a bit to go, but I would have not had all the information that I have read in these books to make a decision. It seems to me that the police latched onto the fact that they thought that Scott was guilty from the beginning and did not investigate all that they could have from that point on. This book totally shows how Scott is a total liar and scumbag, but still I am not sure that he could have committed the murder. A must read if you are interested in this case.

I enjoyed this book. Crier goes into detail about a lot of things that weren't coming out during the time of the investigation and trial. If you were fascinated by the event as it was happening, I totally recommend this book.
