Brenda Gunn, co-author of this book, relates the riveting story of her romance and marriage to the man of her dreams. The handsome man who swept her off her feet and married her seemed too good to be true - and was. An ex-con, her husband Glen, and his unbelievable accomplice, almost carried out Brenda's murder for her sizeable life insurance policy. This lady proves that not only cats have nine lives. The horror she lived through and survived is too strange NOT to be true. I could not put this book down until I finished it.

True story of a woman set up by her so called best friend and a man she fell in love with. Very sad, All she wanted was someone to love and for them to love her. Unbeleivable the things she survived.

Starting reading at 6:30 P.M and had to force myself to finally put it down at 4 A.M! Before I reached the end, I came to the same conclusion as Sheriff Dan Gilbert. There is definitely more here than meets the eye!

Wow, what a story this author has to tell! I was up until 1:00 in the morning as I just had to know how her story would end. There is a GREAT surprise nearly three-quarters of the way into this book, one I was totally NOT expecting. My only regret is that the author doesn't quite answer all the open questions in my mind, but I guess that is part of the reason why this book is so intriguing. You should love this!

Romance seemed unlikelt for this shy, insecure health-care worker living outside Kansas City. Then she met a charmer, who showered her with attention and promised a fairy-tale marriage.... but it seemed too good to be true. Real-life crime.

BLINDED BY LOVE - Romance seemed unlikely for Brenda Gunn, a shy & insecure health care worker living outside Kansas City. Then she met Glen Brumbaugh, a charmer who showered her with attention & promised a fairy-take marriage. It seemed too good to be true

SEDUCED BY LIES - Madly in love, Brenda overlooked the stuning news that Glen was a felon, fresh from a 12yr prison stint. Even after barely surviving an inexpliable fire, & a bizarre hit & run accident, Brenda remained cautiously loyal t the man she married - until one dark night.

DETERMINED TO GET EVEN - Brenda discovered her hisband's elaborate plan for murder. The prize was Brenda's million-dollar-insurance policy. Without proof, no one could help her. With no one left to trust, Brenda played a deadly game of her own. She bought a gun & matched devious cunning with breathtaking courage. When it ended, one player would die in a pool of blood, and the other would survive to expose the intimate evils at the heart of true love
