I love everything about this story. For me it has it all, dog, cat, humour, murder, intrigue, suspense, good friends to visit once again and now looking forward to another in this series. Southern charm, Benjy, Peanut, with Endora to boot. Enjoyable read from start to finish. Such wonderful characters, I'm glad for the cross over from Diesel and his adventures. Keep them coming.

I just didnt like this second book in the series. It seemed like a rehash of book one, many people dying in an old mansion. The cats and dogs didnt do much of anything but go outside to do their business.

I did finish the book, which I recommend if you start it. There are many twist and turns, and surprises in this story. I just thought it was dull and wanted to get to the end and find out who was the murderer.

When I looked at the inside of the cover, Dean James owns the copy right to this book by Miranda James. I also tend to read the acknowledgements, and it seems this author was going through a rough time in his life, during the time this book was written, and that seems to show up on the pages.

According to Miranda James website, Dean James is also Jimmie Ruth Evans and Honor Hartman. So he is an accomplished writer.

I just didnt like this book enough to recommend that you read it. There are so many other mysteries out there. I really liked book 1, as I can I see when I re-read my review on book 1. I wish I could put my finger on why I disliked book 2 so much.
