This is a great audio book by John Sandford. It has 9 cd's and is an unabridged version.

I really enjoy John Sandford's books and have listened to a couple on audiobooks that were worth my time, neither read by Richard Ferrone. I quit this book after the first CD. The combination of a so-so plot and the reader's annoying voice did me in. I quit on very few audiobooks but this one was just a miss for me all the way around.

I enjoyed this audiobook. No, this is not a Lucas Davenport Prey book and yes, the narrator's voice does take some getting used to, but the story is fun and engaging. Really enjoyed the Jake Winter character and look forward to expected future books featuring him.

I liked this stand alone book by John Sandford. I wish he would write more books about Jake Winter. The story was interesting and the main character, Jake Winter, is a lot like Lucas Davenport and Virgil Flowers rolled into one. Great read!
Politics as I figured. It is not how the job is done just how it shows in the papers.
