I had great difficulty finishing this book. It dragged on and on.... I was disappointed and not sure if I'll read any more of her books.

I picked this book up at a rite aid, and was glad I did. Although I haven't read any of her other books, I didn't feel bad reading this before the other ones. It was a good read, not too steamy, but kept me up until it was finished. I am definately going to pick up some more books from this author!

Great paranormal read. Very original. Not your typical vampire book...

Amanda Ashley writes great vampire romances. I pick her books up the day they are published and am always satisfied. Her characters are terrific and her storylines are engaging.
I really enjoy her vamp series but this one was a bore. I didn't like either character & the story seemed to drag on forever. I didn't even finish it.
This was the first book I have read by this author. It want be the last. Dead perfect was very good reading, I really enjoyed it. The author keep the story very intriguing. A very good read, I highly recommend this book.
I was disappointed in this book. I really didn't care for Shannah or Ronan. I just didn't care about either character. I think this is the weakest in her vamp series. Hopefully the next one in the series will be better.
This is the first book I have read by this author. A friend of mine lent me this book and now I'm hooked. I can't wait to read more. Ronan is the typical,sexy,loner until Shannah shows up in his life....you just want her to be with him from the very beginning. The ending was kind of disappointing but I still want to see what else the author has written to compare to.
Great book but just seemed to end too quickly. Wish there was a second book!

This was my first Amanda Ashley book. I am now a big fan and own many more. This is my favorite thus far. I love the connection between Ronan and Shannah. I couldn't put the book down. It moves fast enough to keep the readers interest and takes place in a few different settings. I would recommend it!
Boring. If you like Black Dagger Brotherhood, Sookie Stackhouse, Anita Blake, even Queen Betsy, you are going to be very disappointed in this book. With vampire romance we come to expect a few things: action, new "information" about vampire lifestyle, and sex. Even humor in some cases. Dead Perfect delivers none of that.
Dead Perfect is like the Christan Virtues answer to vampire romance. Amanda Ashley writes in a very passive style which makes it difficult to really become emotionally involved with the characters. There is no sex until marriage, a mantra repeated throughout the excruciating 380+ pages of this book. The couple finally has sex at the end but it is a couple of sentences. I guess that is what some readers prefer, just not what I would expect or look for in the genre of Vampire Romance. I suppose there may be a market for Christian Virtues Vampire Romance, and if so, this is a perfect fit.
The plot is plodding and scenes, even entire chapters read like this: ""Do you want to go outside?" "Okay let's go outside." And then they went outside."
NOTHING happens. With this popular author I wondered if she had chosen this style for this particular book or these characters. However reading excerpts of her other books in the back of Dead Perfect, it's all the same. Passive voice and little action.

I enjoyed this book immensely. I read it one day because I couldn't put it down. It had a huge amount of sexual tension because the main character, Shannah, was a virgin and Ronan being a vampire who's from a different century would not deflower her.
The story begins with the back story of Shannah. She's in her twenties and is dying of a rare disease. She has a few days perhaps a few weeks left to live. During one of her outings at night she see's a man leaving a movie theater late at night and believing he's a vampire she follows him. From then on she follows him daily and learns his living habits for weeks. She learns that he's never goes out during the day. He never leaves to get food and food is never delivered. After days of trying to build up her courage she knocks on his door during the day, believing that if he answers he's not a vampire and if he doesn't answer then he's a vampire. He answers the door and apologizes and while trying to leave she trips and falls and cuts her head. While unconscious Ronan goes back in to retrieve a cape and get's her inside and places her in one of his upstairs bedroom to rest.
Shannah awakens during the day and Ronan having expected this had food delivered for her to make for herself. At night he emerges and after spending some time with her, he asks her to stay. Spending time with her is difficult because her blood calls to him. He begins to like her, which is amazing since he'd stopped associating with humans centuries before.
He learns about her disease and attempts to lengthen her life by giving her some of his blood to strengthen her. He knows it's temporary, but with every day he spends with her he can't seem to let her go.
I wont give away the plot in the story. I will say that toward the end of the story after she's abducted her desires catches up with her and Ronan rescues her only to find her unconscious. He has to decide weather to let her go or to turn her in order to save her. Her choices up that point are direct with regards to what she wants, still it's up to Ronan at the last moment weather or not he's willing to let her go.
It's a heart stopping moment that tugged at my heart. Ronan having fallen in love with the first woman in his entire existence see's ready to let go. But sensing the fear and reluctance in Shannah is hard for him as well.

I didn't really like this book that much I thought that it could off been better, I only finish it because I already started it.
