wow what a wonderful book! Could not put it down. Anya does a thoughtful memoir of her parents. She learns that her parents are totally different after she finds letters they had written to each other, that did not translate to treating her very well as her father, George was a mean task master and pointed out her mistakes and yelled at her all the time. Her mother, Anita loved her husband and did not like children, she did but was not into being an actual mom. Well, dad dies and then her mother dies and she lost both for them by age 32. So she goes on this journey and finds out how her parents loved each other through letters and talking to other people about het parents. its not what she expected in the end.
I did love reading it And Anya's words did resonate within me to some extent. So I would like other people to read this book! Raw emotion, tears, hate, love and finally understanding.
