A fun, fast read- just what Davidson is known for! I enjoyed this collection of novellas a lot more than her last one. The Queen Betsy one was good, but a bit of a letdown (especially since I loved Undead & Uneasy, the novella takes place a few days after that book ends.) Betsy and Eric are on their honeymoon in New York- and it's just not as relaxing as they'd hoped! The mermaid one was cute, it's set in the world of her other mermaid books but completely stands alone. The Wyndham werewolf story featuring Cain was a lot of fun and had a great (and unique!) relationship between the two leads. There's references to Cain's role in "Undead and Uneasy" which added to the fun, in my opinion. Again, if you read the past Wyndham stories you'll get more of the references, but it still stands alone nicely if you haven't. The first story is basically a short mystery and the other two are simply fun, romantic events that take place in a paranormal setting. I just wish these would be released a bit cheaper- they're always super short and read even faster!

Completely enjoyed all three stories in this book.
They were the MJD classics that I have come to know and love.
Reading about Betsy and Sinclair's honeymoon was great. I always enjoy the Wyndham Wolves and I am a huge fan of best friends falling in love. The Mermaid story was a lot of fun, especially since I just finished the two 'Fred the Mermaid' books right before reading it.
Love MJD's anthologies when I am in the mood for some fun, light reading. She always delivers.

Has one Queen Betsy story set after "Undead and Uneasy", one mermaid story set after "Swimming without a net," and one Wyndham werewolf story set after "Undead and Uneasy." All of them were light and enjoyable to read. Only the Queen Betsy story involved main characters from that series.

I cannot stress how much I LOVE MJD's books. I have read every single one, and love each, almost more than the last. And this one is no exception. With the three novellas from three of her best series, it's kind of like a snack to tide you over until the next book comes out. One of the few authors that makes me laugh out loud, repeatedly. Long live Queen Betsy! Bring on the shoes!!

MaryJanice Davidson writes some darn funny fluff, and DEAD OVER HEELS is no exception.
Although I wasn't overly impressed with the novella starring Queen Betsy and Eric, I did like the one with the mermaid, and REALLY enjoyed the story featuring Cain, a werewolf from the Wyndham pack.
I always get a good laugh out of MJD's stories, and this one was really great for an hour or two of pure, mindless entertainment.
