I always buy these yearly anthologies simply for the new Eve Dallas/Roarke novella by J.D. Robb. She doesn't disappoint with ETERNITY IN DEATH, which centers around an evil psychopath who truly believes himself to be a vampire.

Mary Blayney's story, AMY AND THE EARL'S AMAZING ADVENTURE, actually didn't make much sense to me, and I didn't finish it.

Ruth Ryan Langan writes a really good Scottish time travel story with TIMELESS. Although I don't really like historicals, I enjoyed this short story.

ON THE FRINGE by Mary Kay McComas is another time travel, about a wife who wonders what life would have been like if she'd made different choices and decisions.

DEAD OF NIGHT is worth the read simply for J.D. Robb's story, but TIMELESS is also a pretty good read.

I orginally ordered this book for the JD Robb story. That was, of course, great! The next two I really enjoyed, but the last story was alright. I probably would not have read it had it not been in this anthology.

This was my first experience with an anthology. I love Nora Roberts but I had never read her writing as J. D. Robb, so I thought I would give this one a try. I have found that I don't really care for anthologies. I need a little more substance to my reading. I found the four stories in this anthology just alright. I think from now on I will stick with a regular length novel.

I picked up this book to read ETERNITY IN DEATH by J.D. Robb.

A socialite is found...dead from exsanguination. Lt. Eve Dallas and Detective Delia Peabody are called to the scene. Tiara Kent looked peaceful if it wasn't for the two holes in her neck. Is there a vampire on the lose? Eve and company infiltrate an underground club called "Bloodbath" to look for clues.

This is a short story in the In Death series. My rating: 4 Stars.

This is a paranormal anthology containing four short stories by four different authors.
It is nice to have a few novellas around when I'm in the mood for a quick, light read, and at least half of these are worth the time it takes.

So don't pass up J D Robb, "Eternity In Death".

"Amy and the Earl's Amazing Adventure" by Mary Blayney, When the brother of the present day Earl and Amy are whisked into the past to solve a mystery.

Ruth Ryan Langan's "Timeless", a vacation in Scotland and a ripple in time end up with this is a richly-woven tale with deep feelings and exciting intrigue.

Mary Kay McComas' "On the Fringe" A magic carpet, alternate reality, a desperate situation, all lead to some important things to learn.

Have to say only got this book because of JD Robb's IN DEATH novella. That's all i read, and it was well worth it. I just dont read any of the other authors, and those titles didnt interest me. Love Nora Robert's IN DEATH SERIES....
