Truthfully, I did not enjoy this book very much. It's basically werewolf erotica; two words that I don't like having to type together! If you like a good sex scene, then you'll probably like this book more than I did. I just don't like reading page after page of descriptive sex. I'm not prudish in my real life, but apparently I am when it comes to what I read. Who knew? It was nice to see George from the Undead series as a main character, but not as a sexual beast. It was just too weird for me! Yuck. Werewolf erotica is just not the genre for me, I guess.

Four stories of love, lust and howling laughter. Davidson's Wyndham Werewolves and the world of Vampire Queen Betsy Taylor collide. In three of the stories, the Wyndham werewolves find their perfect - sometimes reluctant- mates, whether mortal or immortal. And the original story of George the Fiend is the fourth story. Equal parts spicy heat and laugh-out-loud moments. Delightful read.

Don't read all four of the short stories in DEAD AND LOVING IT all at once. Read back-to-back, although a quick read, the stories are all extremely similar--there are even phrases in the stories that have been used, word for word, in the one that came before it.

That said, all four stories deal in some way with werewolves, specifically ones from the Wyndham clan. The stories are short, sexy, and to the point. Although I enjoyed the premise of all of them, the use of the "c" word to describe the female anatomy irked me, so much so that I had to, at times, set the book aside.

However, SANTA CLAWS, MONSTER LOVE, THERE'S NO SUCH THING AS A WEREWOLF, and A FIEND IN NEED are all fast-paced stories that die-hard fans of MJD will enjoy. Overall, not a bad book, although the typographical errors and the repetitive phrases (even some entire scenes appeared recycled from the previous short story) keep it from being a true winner.

As a fan of the Queen Betsy series, I couldn't wait to read this one. Boy was I disappointed! I couldn't even finish it. In my opinion, its nothing but graphic sex scenes (rape among other scenarios), (unnecessary) crude language, and little or no plot. I'm not prudish, but I really couldn't stomach this one.

I'd rather Davidson stuck to her light-hearted, witty ROMANCE stories.

Enjoyable - not the best work from Mary Janice Davison. This is selection of 4 stories covering the characters that we know and love.

MaryJanice Davidson puts some raunch in her books, but this was by far over the top! Page after page after page of very graphic sexual content was a big turn off! The "f" word was used too much and the "c" word just annoyed me to no end. I was disappointed in this book and disappointed in myself to have read even part of it.

Great stories. I wish I had been reading the Betsy The Vampire series to understand the characters a little more in the last story. Overall they were great. Spunky ladies with winning personalities.

Four short stories.. classic Mary Janice Davidson. Some of the sex scenes were a little too hard core for my taste, but otherwise a very funny read.

The Undead books are a great series and I have read all 9 books. I highly recommend to anyone the Undead Series (Queen Betsy). However, I was not so entertained or impressed by this short-story off shoot of the series. Please do not let that comment deter you from checking out the Undead Series because it is off-the-chart entertaining and I just love the characters. I really wish I knew Betsy in real life because her quips and come-backs are to die for (no pun intended).

The mini-stories in this book are interesting but you would certainly have had to read the Undead Series to understand the back stories behind the characters written about in this book. The author's style is uniquely inviting and just plain funny. The Undead series and this book include stories about Vampires, Ghosts, Zombies, Fiends, Werewolves, and the Devil Spawn. These characters are hilarious and interesting to watch them interact and live together. There is always some disaster that has to be attending to and Queen Betsy has the humor to get through it.

MaryJanice Davidson is one of my favorite authors. This book is good but not as good as the books in her Queen Betsy series.

This book is ok. I have been reading the Betsy books and thought I would check out the last story about George the Fiend and Antonia, which didn't add much, but was fun. Each story is really fast and easy, though with some wacky and in some cases offensive wooing (rape? kidnapping?). But it is brain candy like the others, and not really meant to make you think.

Collection of four short stories. If you have read the Betsy series, Antonia's starter story is #4. Overall cute, although I am not much for anthologies. It was consistant Davidson style. So I enjoyed it.

The stories themselves weren't that bad, but MJD's female characters get VERY annoying because they are ALL THE SAME. It's pretty much just a different package, but same product. That said, I liked knowing more about Garrett and Antonia's relationship as well as more about the Wolves. A must read for fans of the Betsy series and also if you've read Derik's Bane.

A great book that was an easy read. The last story in the book sets up Undead and Unpopular. I really enjoyed reading this book.
