Good story with nice twists. First I have read by B Connor and I will be looking up her earlier books in this series now. However I got frustrated with the third-person view of the story rotating around only the main character. It broke up the flow for me. Since the story stayed around Dr Diane Fallon, the main character, I would get into the first-person view and then be disrupted by the "she said"s thow in to make it the third-person. I guess having just read all of Kathy Reichs' books my expectations were colored.

Lickety split read, with bunches of amazingly interesting forensic diatribes worth slowing down for. Forensic rope-ology! Who would have thought?

I love the Diane Fallon books. I accidentally found the series on PBS and had to get at least the first three before starting the series. I like that the main character has more than one occupation and the author carries each of these quite well. I enjoy books in which I can learn something else besides just reading a mystery - that is also why I like Kathy Reichs and Patricia Cornwell. I have read all of the Diane Fallon books and was not disappointed with any. I know the writing style was different, but did not affect my enjoyment of the books. She also wrote a series whose protagonist is and archaeologist (Lindsey Chamberlain), and those books are also very good and informative.

Diane Fallon and her bones and museum. There are great characters and lots of twists and turns in her story. I really enjoyed this series and if you like forensic anthropology I suggest that you read this one.

In Beverly Connor's absorbing series, the bones of the dead reveal the secrets of the living. Now Connor takes her ingenious heroine--forensic anthropologist Diane Fallon--on a chilling excavation of a crime with harrowing implications...

In the shadow of Diane Fallon's mew forensic lab in Georgia, a land survey crew has discovered three bodies hanging in an isolated patch of woods. The sensational case has aroused the interest of the media, unnerved the locals--and inspired a gruesome game between the killer and Diane. It begins with taunting e-mails and chilling phone calls. Where it will lead is a dangerously personal investigation as each bizarre clue brings Diane closer to a heartless betrayal and a desperate man's obsession for justice--and revenge.
