I read a lot of thrillers, but this one was not for me. The preface was spectacularly engrossing, but the book evolved into a story line with a load of geopolitical lecturing and too many battlefield scenes for my taste.
The author is 200% gungho for the Ukraine War and the duty of the West to fight the Russians. I don't disagree with that, but I don't like to encounter propaganda in a novel.
