A terrific series, stories told by the sidekick of the series, Paul Osborne. Lots of good, solid mystery plotting, good character development and...FISHING!!! Can't miss fun for fishing/mystery fans.
I just recently discovered Houston's Loon Lake stories and have been reading them in order. Each one gets better, more story development, more about the mystery, less about fishing. Dead Boogie would be a good read even if I had not read the first 6 books.
