When I realized that Claire, the main character of this book, has early onset Alzheimer's I nearly put it down because my father was also claimed by early onset Alzheimer's and I was afraid that it would be "too close to home" for me to enjoy. I was wrong, this is a beautifully written story of how it affects each member of the family. The author's passages about Claire and her disintegration are so real, poignant and touching. Did you enjoy "Still Alice"? You'll love this book!
