I don't think I will ever take a cruise again!

This book had such potential to be an exciting horror book, but it lost it's footing. Don't get me wrong, I did enjoy parts, but it could have been more thrilling and action packed.

The ship lost power and drifted off destination; no lights, no toilets, cold food they were running out of, but there was plenty of liquor offered. Passengers went crazy, formed groups, there was an old lady psychic acting like a cult leader running the show. Someone was murdered and the norovirus was spreading, red bags of poop were thrown overboard in the grimy, slimy ocean, with people vomiting all over.

Except for Maddie and "The Suicide Sisters", the characters were one dimensional and unlikable. The ending was awful, I didn't understand most of it and it just fell flat for me.

This novel had the potential to be very scary and intense; instead it turned out to be very weak in the development of the story line resulting in no scare, no intensity, no mystery. It makes a good read if you just want to waste a day reading without having to become too involved with the characters. The timeline in which the story takes place is not believable which make everything that happens seem unbelievable. The ending of this book was truly disappointing for me, but I also found the ending of her first novel (The three) a huge disappointment also and other praise that book in its entirety. To categorize this book as a horror book is an insult to true horror books.
