This was not exactly the novel I thought it would be. The overall theme was far more complex and darker than I expected. I still can't decide whether I liked it or not. There were many occurences that seemed to have no purpose as they didn't enhance the book at all.

Certainly not chick lit or light reading . . . and more intense than "Riggs Park". A good story of growth, commitment and reflection from a number of intertwined characters. It's one I will remember and glad I finished it -- I had my doubts early on!
