In Daughters of Northern Shores, Joanne Bischof concludes the tale of the Norgaard brothers begun in Sons of Blackbird Mountain.
While I enjoyed becoming better acquainted with these characters and seeing the family grow, I had to suspend disbelief on at least one major plot point. All in all, this was a good read filled with themes of forgiveness, sacrifice, faith, and redemption.

More preachy than the first, which became annoying but that's the chance I take when reading christian romance, but other than that, this is an exceptional tale. There's so much to love about Haakon's story, and I'm especially glad that he stepped up, became a man with integrity, and had the courage to seek amends on both sides of the ocean. The Norgaard brothers are men with immense appeal; you'll not want to miss this one. (Be sure to read the author's note at the end.) And do yourself a favor--read the Sons of Blackbird Mountain first. You'll appreciate those irresistible men all the more for it. 4.5 stars.
