Having a relative who was diagnosed bi-polar, I could totally identify with Jacki Lyden's experience of trying to live with her mother's behavior and sense of reality. Wonderfully and sensitively written. Hard to lay the book down once you start reading it.

I saw an interview with the author of this book on "Oprah", and was fascinated with her story. Unfortunately, reading the book was somewhat of a letdown. Large parts of the book drug on, with uninteresting details. However, the portions of the book that kept my interest were very good...almost as though two different people took turns writing it!
