This is an enjoyable story I read in one sitting. Rachel is a governess for a French family when she receives news her mother is dying. She immediately leaves for England but is too late. She finds a recent newspaper picture among her mother's things and is surprised to see a picture of her father as an Earl. But her father died when she was four ?!?

So begins a plot of revenge with the help of a family cousin and his friend Simon..
I was totally captivated and emotional when Rachel and her father see each other for the first time in 20 years.

It was an engrossing, quick read with good character development and ending.
