This one's a better than average murder mystery about Maggie Slade, who was arrested and convicted for murdering her mother when she was a teenager. What happens when Maggie finally decides to confront her past . . . and her mother's . . . makes for a great finale.

I'm newly arrived at this author's books, but I really like her style. Mystery, intrigue, romance, and a very quick-paced plot.

First Cresswell for me, but not the last. Fullfilling, rich story, with a suprising, sweet ending!

Good book. Kept my interest from the first page to the last. I didn't figure out who was guilty until the end so it was done well.

Determined to prove her innocence, Maggie must prove the guilt of a very powerful man and she is not sure if Sean can be trusted to help her. Cresswell weaves a mesmerizing tale- this one was hard to put down. All the elements of a great romantic suspense novel are here. Recommended!

Another good book by Jasmine Cresswell. It was a light read but had some good twists and turns. We should all have a Sean McLeod in our lives. Recommend to others.

A fascinating premise, but ends up shallow. Of course Cresswell can't stop from taking potshots at the Church, but there is a nice plot twist at the end.
