I'm so happy I did not buy this book. I usually avoid writing reviews when I simply disliked a book but this book was horrible. It annoys me to no end that Pocket Star (the publishing house) would publish this book. They are using the V.C. Andrews name to sell books with complete disregard to the content of the book. In addition, you have all these incredible writers who are struggling to get their books published and they continue to be ignored by publishing houses. It makes no sense.
This is NOT a V.C. Andrews book. It is a fake and if V.C. Andrews realized what was being written using her good name, she would be ashamed. I do know that the family felt that a ghost writer could continue to write books using V.C. Andrew's name but this book is nothing like a book she would have written. That is why I call it a fake. Yes, it is an authorized fake, but a fake no less!

I didn't even get through this entire book. I just thought it was very boring & it did not keep me intrigued. It was a disappointment because I have read other books by V.C. Andrews & I liked them.

This book leaves out the V.C. Andrew style I have come to love. I think the family need to find a new ghostwriter. The book drags on and on until I gave up three quarters of the way through the book. I do not recommend this book.

If you are expecting V.C. Andrews style of writing this book will NOT deliever untill the last 10-15 pages. I am hopeful that the author will improve with other books in this series.
Even though the book was not writen in V.C. Andrews style I still really enjoyed the book and felt that it was well writen.

I enjoyed the book, but I think I would have enjoyed it more when I was younger.
It was written from the perspective of a young high school girl.
But I have to say that it was a very interesting take on the vampire and the vampire lifestyle.
Since I'm intrigued by vampires, it was definitely worth the read.
