If you need to learn about relational databases (such as Microsoft Access or FileMaker Pro), you need to read this book first. Not a "how-to" for specific software programs! The author (who taught sold-out workshops on this material before joining Microsoft) has put together a great introduction to a complicated topic. When I teach database courses and workshops, this is the book I use as a text.
