I found this book very slow. I couldn't quite connect with the main couple. I was more interested in Jagr, and he was only minimally in it in order to set him and Regan up as the next book's couple.

There was nothing that sparked an interest. I hate to start a book and not complete it, which is the only reason I finished this book.

Another great entry in the Guardians of Eternity series. It has the requisite hot vampire [Mr. Tall, Dark and Dead] and beautiful heroine with a Destiny [she's a compassionate lawyer, ummm, believing in vampires might be easier...] The villain is Morgana le Fay, King Arthur has a couple of cameos, Levet makes occasional snarky appearances while various other characters from previous novels appear in supporting roles. Good read.

I really, really wanted to like this series. I've ready two of the series (books 1 & 4), and unfortuantely, both times they've let me down. They start out strong, with a good premise, but then, splat: They fall flat for me. The relationship dynamics were just painful. Seemingly strong characters turning to mushy, sentimental, saps in 24-hours or less. Characters are cliche and lack backbone and consistency. Plots are thin at best. I ended up re-posting the rest of the series I had in my TBR pile, and cancelling the rest. There are just too many unique, fresh books out there to keep rewashing the same-old-thing.
