I am a HUGE fan of Galenorn's "Sisters of the Moon" series- Menolly was never my favorite character in the last two books so I wasn't sure if I'd enjoy this one as much as the first two. Thankfully, I was wrong and this one ended up being my favorite! Menolly's story is darker in tone, we found out exactly what kind of sexual and violent torture she endured at Dredge's hands and it is horrific. She deals with her attraction to a new woman in her life while dealing with her scars (both physical and emotional) from her turning on top of their battle against Shadow Wing.
The highlight of the book to me was we FINALLY get to go into the other world! The descriptions were absolutely mesmerzing, and I wished I could have spent the rest of the book there. This novel was satisfying on its own but also set up the next book, Dragon Wytch, well. We're now very familiar with all the sisters, so the story has started to really kick into gear with the coming war. Highly recommended and remember- it's urban fantasy- NOT paranormal romance! (Why the publishers labeled it that I'll never know...)

I liked Darkling better than Witchling, but not as much as Changeling. I've put in requests for the next book in the series, but I'll be reposting my copies and I wouldn't buy them
The stories aren't bad, but the author seems to be settling into some habits that I'm not sure I appreciate. Each story takes a long story to start into the real plot and each sister is being pushed into a triangle. I'm not against character driven multiples but these seem forced and unnecessary.

Another awesome story about the sisters and their friends and lovers. Fast and entertaining read, makes you thirst for the next one.

I was expecting a romance. It is not a romance. I would guess that it doesn't fit neatly into any genre. It did keep me turning the pages though.

Wow we thought there would be only 3 books, but this just cleans up the 3rd sister!I think it is my favorite! Menolly's story is a must read!

This was heart breaking. Out of all three books so far of the series Darkling was more heart renching. Menolly had been through more suffering and pain then anyone could imagine. This book made me cry, and of all the sisters I believe so far she is the most changed. Exellent read!
This book was good. The basic "formula" is there but that's ok. The story is engaging and kept me reading. Overall this is a good series.
This book was better thatn the first one
I was not happy with this book at all. It turned my stomach, frankly and I could not bring myself to finish reading it. Maybe I'm a prude. I can tolerate and even enjoy gay material if it's tastefully done, but this story did not do "tasteful" by a long shot. Each to his/her own, I guess.
I think I should have re-read the first two. There were times I was completely lost. Was glad I got this book from the library. Was OK,will see if I can get the rest of the series from my local library.
This books lives up to the second and is a worthy read. I'm glad I didn't stop reading after the first book, as the second and third are far better.
My only disappointment is that the fourth book will again be about Camille, the star of the first book and, in my opinion, the least likable and interesting sister. Hopefully the author will learn from her mistakes and give more plot and less kinky sex in Camille's story this time around.

I almost didn't buy this book because I didn't like the cover. The vampire enjoys the safety of thinking nobody knows where she sleeps, which is strange, because the where is so obvious. This is a fun series of stories.
Terrific third in the series of the Otherworld books, a must read but be sure to read books 1&2 first or you may well be lost. The author takes great pains to give details and lead the reader on a wonderful fantasy adventure of mystery, intrigue and action. I highly recommend this book and entire series.
not so good, more of same from first two but not as interesting.
