An enjoyable abridged read/listen, with plenty of suspense and action. As I didn't know the book began a series, I was surprised at the ending. But now I'm hooked, so I'm listening to the subsequent volumes. [So far the series goes Darkfever; Bloodfeever; Faefever.]
