I'm not totally sure how I felt about this book. On one hand, I feel like this book had so much potential, and yet it fell flat for me. The plot left me scratching my head. I feel like a lot of questions weren't answered. For instance, we never really find out why the main character had so many issues with her parents. We can make some assumptions, but that's about the best that I could make of it. The premise of her mother taking such graphic photographs of her sister seemed really bizarre to me also. What mother would really do that? Therefore, the story line itself was a little outrageous. On the other hand, the writing itself was amazingly great. In general, I think this author has potential. I would give her another try, but I can't quite give this particular book a full 3 stars.
