This was a very summery-fun type of book. It wasn't my favorite of his... The ending felt a little rushed. It was still a fun read, just not his best work. It followed the same lines as _Darkness, Tell Us_. It was a fun, summer thriller set primarily around a fateful camping trip.

Found the book to be neither scary nor truly in the horror genre. Nevertheless I enjoyed it. A quick, easy read. The development of the relationship between teenagers Nick and Julie was delightful. As in other books I've read by Laymon, the sex was gratuitous. Still recommended. Four stars.

I love Richard Laymon and all his books but this one wasn't as exciting as the rest. It's still a very good read and suspencefull and if you're into Mr.Laymons books you'll enjoy it but not as much as the rest.

Good story but wouldn't consider it in the 'horror' category. Characters are easy to get to know and root for the romance between the teenagers, however, the sex wasn't necessary to keep interested in the book.
