I enjoyed Gabriel's story and Rowan was a good match for him. The characters reminded me a little of Kresley Cole's paranormal series though.

This is the second book in the series, so I recommend reading Call of the Highland Moon first. Wild Highland Magic is the third. It's a little more sci fi than many romances, but it works with the characters and world Castle has created. It's so interesting to see the variety of origin stories for the vampire/werewolf enemity.
Gabriel has been feeling somewhat directionless when Rowan is literally pushed into his arms by her brother who asks him to protect her no matter what before vanishing. Of course, as a modern heroine Rowan rescues Gabriel right back, and the sparks fly as these two stubborn souls fall in love while battling villains from another world.

I didn't just not like this book... I hated it!!!!
there was none of the good feeling from book one, wasn't writen the same at all... Gabriel and Rowan didn't even like each other, all they had was sex... they said the words "I love you" but it was out of being "mates" OMG.. I really hope book 3 is better, I waited a LOOOOOONG time to get them on my wish list, I am so sorry I did on this one!!!! I will be reposting this one as soon as I can afford postage!!!!!
