Felt the main character was too whiny, and her best friend incredible annoying.
Ever is bothering me more and more -- she is much like Twilight's Bella in that she has this major inferiority complex. Even though Damen will do anything for her (but he is not as creepy as Edward), she consistantly believes that she does not deserve his love. I will probably read the fifth book in the series because I already have it, but if i didn't, I think I would just put this series down now.
A mom review: The Immortals series is definitely a teen read. And can not be put in the same literary class as Twilight. And though none of the books contain sex it contains heavy reference to the main characters pursuits of it. I would allow my teen to read this before the Vampire Academy or House of night series which though better written contain sex in every book to include sex with adults/teachers.
In this 4th installment of the Immortal series, Ever delves deeper into magic, and her negative personality transforms everything she tries to do into a dark flame inside her. She struggles to stay herself while the monster within draws her toward her enemy, Roman, until Ever discovers the powers of positivity and sincerity.
As always, Noel leaves you hanging, causing you to HAVE to read the next book!

this book may have been better than the last ones! It left me wanting more cant wait for the next one!!!
Haven is now an Immortal thanks to Romans' trickery and meddling. On top of all of that Ever has been unknowingly messing with Dark Magick which has left her with a burning desire for Roman himself! She just can't help herself and no matter how hrd she tries she can't stay away from Roman which only infuriates her best friend Haven and makes things so much harder between them. Very good progressive story here. Enjoy! I know I did!
I am absolutely HOOKED on this series. Yes - It's a young adult book, but many adults will find the series enjoyable as well. I didn't like Ever at first, but as the stories go on; I've grown to love her. I plowed through this book in 4 hours. It had me laughing, crying, sighing, and crying some more. Definitely reccomend this book to adults and young adults alike.
Suffering through this series. This was a pointless book. Everything just happens in circles, over and over again while accomplishing hardly a thing. How depressing. Basically, don't mess with witchcraft at all because it is dangerous, which is part of the reason why I don't like this series because it has too much witchcraft with all the chakra, meditation, clearing energy, casting spells, etc. ugh.
Ever's friend is an Immortal now who is in love with Roman who has the antidote to the antidote for Damen and Ever's issues of wanting to be with one another physically, but being unable to. Because of the problems that Ever is having, she becomes a bit infatuated with Roman and doesn't want to tell Damen about it because she would hate to hurt him, though she really loves Damen. Drama, Drama, Drama. This one was better than the last one though I think.

I wanted a little more from this book. Still worth reading!
