While I have truly enjoyed all the Dark series books thus far, this one is THE best (so far). Do read them in order if you can, but hold on tight--for this one. I believe in giving your loved one the ultimate choice of his/her future - and if they even want a future with you...then they must choose it. This time, in this book, Tempest has a choice - it s not made for her. I am not giving this story line away, but I love the interaction of these two characters. Just fantastic!

In the continuing story of the Carpathian race, it is Darius' turn to find his lifemate. Desari, the singing sensation, has hired a female mechanic to care for the vehicles in their touring company. Darius is Desari's brother and in charge of security for the band. As soon as Darius sets eyes on Tempest, he claims her as his lifemate. Tempest, however, is human, and terrified of Darius. Darius decides to court Tempest, but dangers threaten all of them as the group of assassins threatening Darius' sister Desari are closing in and they see the new mechanic as a way to get close to their prey.

These are ok. I'll read more of them but I'll space them way out. They seem kind of repetitive to some degree.
very good book!
While I really enjoy her books, I am starting to find them very repetitive. Same story different people and settings.
To date, I am reading these in order and this is one of my favorites. I loved that this group of Carpathians are different than the others from the Carpathian Mountains. I do find it interesting that Darius, as a boy, could keep two female infants alive in the wild when more powerful ancients can't figure it out. Just food for thought.... Maybe his knowledge will come in handy later in the series. As always, the romantic and sensual parts never disappoint.
Great way to continue the characters.
loved it
Oh my goodness, Feehan does not disappoint. Dark Fire is one of her best yet. Keeps you enthralled from the very first. It is a MUST read!
I've been reading the whole series. I love them all!
If you have not read any of Christine Feehan books I suggest you try this one, for me it was very well written and Darius (very strong European males) is one of her better subjects, this story gives you more information on being a Carpathian and the mysteries behind the Carpathians.. well worth the time to read...
Fantastic! I love all the Carpathian books, but Darius is one of my favorite characters. I can't help but admire him, talk about a self made man. Tempest is no simpering miss herself... sparks fly in this one. It was nice to get more of the backstory on the battle that seperated him and his siblings from the rest of the Carpathians. I can't wait to hear more about the larger than life Lucien & Gabriel.
Awsome series!
I love this whole series.
I'm predjudiced. Every single book in this series is Awesome. Dark Fire is no exception. A great read from beginning to end!
6th in the "Dark Series", an entertaining read and one of my favorites in series.
Synopsis from back cover: So Darius warned her when she accepted a position with his traveling troupe. And gazing mesmerized at the merciless slash of his mouth, the implacable resolve on his face, the soulless emptiness of his black eyes, Tempest was afraid to ask what it was.
She had always been different, apart from others. From the moment his arms closed around her, enveloping her in a sorcerer's spell, Darius seemed to understand her unique gifts. But did his kiss offer the love and belonging she sought, or a danger more potent than his own panthers?
Somewhere deep inside herself, Tempest realized she knew the answer. She had no choice but to accept the velvet stroke of his tongue, submit to the white-hot heat piercing her skin, welcome an erotic pleasure like no other.

Good Vampire romance!
Excellent series!
I really loved this book. But then again, any book of Feehan's is bound to be good. Literally.

The book that got me hooked on Christine Feehan's Dark Series. I love the characters!
Good Story. A bit different from the others.
good story at times it seemed to jump a bit musch could have had more substance. overall good
My favorite of the Dark Vampire Series. Very sensual.
I had a bit of difficulty believing Darius would call anyone 'baby' or 'honey', still CF delivered as usual. This particular story had a bit more excitement than previous books in the series. And a couple of surprises made the pages flow by.

Super story of Darius. I loved this one!!
This book brings Christine Feehan fans Darius and Tempest. Another great paranormal romance book and one from her Carpathian series.
6th book in Feehan's Dark series. Picks up with Darius who is real close to turning vampire.
Another winner for Feehan! I couldn't put it down. It has become one of my favorites in this series.
Great and innovative, romance and suspense.
Very interesting
Not my favorite in the series but still a good read. I loved learning more about Gregori's brother.
I read this but it was not my favorite book by CF. I did not like Darius, him and Rusti just seemed like they did not connect with each other. I actually like the previous books of this series better. It was still a good story but to me it did not deliver. There was no spark between Darius and Rusti.
Feehan never disappoints!
Love Christine, love the Carpathians. I Don't have enough good to say about them. Have never read one of the series that I didn't like.
ALL OF THE CARPATHAN SET ARE WELL WRITTEN. TO BE HONEST, I LOVED THEM ALL.
