I have read most of the Death Series by JD Robb. This one was good as they always are. I did not find anything outstanding in it, but I surely enjoyed it.
Still not quite J.D.Robb's voice, but this ghost writer and editor came closer. It's not a book that makes me want to buy my own copy to keep. But I liked the basic premise - someone is re-enacting a mystery writer's murders.
The decent plot itself reads like J. D. Robb wrote herself into the storyline...nothing wrong with that. However even with brief appearances by a few of the original side characters, the original dynamics have been replaced with tons more pages for her squad. So it's more and more like other police procedurals.
