Another very readable, very addictive offering by Cara Hunter.
I did have a twinge of doubt, as I read on (... and on ... and on ... neglecting all personal and household responsibilities, sometimes neglecting to eat, sometime neglecting to breathe ... ) that Hunter's plot relies too much on her detectives being a Bit Thick. (No offence intended to the wonderful and sensitive Adam Fawley, who is, according to one of his uniformed Lady Officers, the handsomest man in their station, and doesn't even realize it ... How much of a turn-on is THAT?!) But there was one crucial plot element that I began to wonder about, perhaps a third of the way in. When it was finally revealed, it was Fawley's wife who figured it out, and even then she had to explain it to him in words of one syllable ...
But fie on logic!! Keep 'em coming, Ms. Hunter!

Poor writing style, hard to follow, too many 'inserts' of newspaper items, dvd interviews?, too many characters to sort out and track and the story just wasn't as interesting as I had hoped
In the hands of a better author and different writing style and written more in the 'suspense/thriller' it might be a good book but I wouldn't recommend this to anyone
