Another excellent book by Megan Goldin. This is the second book with Rachel Krall, the podcaster. She was first seen in The Night Swim. This book has quite a few twists and turns, but is easy to follow and an excellent read.

Rachel Krall became a household name after her last true crime podcast drew a huge audience. Now she has been contacted by the FBI. They want her help in finding missing influencer Maddison Logan. A few days ago, Maddison visited Terrence Bailey in prison. Bailey is currently serving a two-year sentence for breaking and entering, but the police believe he may have murdered as many as six women. Police do not know why an influencer with a huge social media following would be talking to Bailey. Shortly after the meeting, Maddison disappeared. The FBI wants Rachel Krall to go undercover at Buzzcon, a popular influencers conference, to see if she can learn what Maddison had been up to at the conference.

As Rachel goes undercover, police find the body of a young woman in the woods. She has the same tattoo on her wrist as Terrence Bailey. Her body was left in the same condition as the women who police suspect Bailey killed. But Terrence Bailey is currently in prison. Does he have an accomplice on the outside?

This is the second book in the Rachel Krall series. I loved how the book jumped between Rachel infiltrating the conference, law enforcement's investigation into the young girl's death, and Rachel's podcast concerning Maddison's disappearance. Even though some of the influencer's conference was a little boring, the story was easy to follow and very entertaining. There was even a little romance thrown into the mix which I enjoyed. My rating: 4 Stars.
