This story certainly had lots of drama and not a lot of plot. The whole thing with an barely noticed girl going from zero to hero with the popular crowd is a storyline that's been over-played in books and movies, sot that was rather corny. It's an okay read, not something that I'd ever read again, but great if you're looking for something fast and simple and won't tax your brain.
This is the only major flaw in an otherwise lovely series. By the end of this book, you are creeped out because of the secret of her "angel" ewwww, and unsure whether the girl's life was improved because of her new-found knowledge of magic. Too freaky for me.
THIS WAS AN INTERESTING BOOK. I ENJOYED IT BECAUSE EVEN THOUGH GILLIAN BECAME POPULAR SHE MAINTAINED WHO SHE WAS INSIDE. SHE DIDN'T LET IT GO TO HER HEAD. ANGEL/GARY WAS A INTRESTING CHARACTER BECAUSE HE WAS FUNNY AND WITY AND KNEW HE WAS DOING WRONG AND LATER APPOLIGIZED FOR IT. HE TURNED OUT TO BE A GOOD GUY IN THE END AND GILLIAN GOT TO KEEP HER SOULMATE DAVID.
The fourth book in the Night World Series.
I was so in love with The Night World Series during Middle school. But, seeing as I haven't read them SINCE that time and I need shelf space, away they go!
