A readable account of the life of Coretta Scott King that emphasizes her participation in the civil rights movement. Based largely on Mrs. King's book My Life with Martin Luther King, Jr. (Holt, 1993), this biography shows her to be a courageous woman who can stand on her own merit, and not just as the wife of one of the world's most well-known men. Black-and-white photographs and well-executed pencil drawings show the subject at various stages of her life.
