A Dangerous Stage by Camy Tang
Protection For Hire Book 2
Tessa Lancaster has avoided Charles Britton for a full year. Now she has a new client and Charles has been included in the case. She is to be the bodyguard for a thirteen year old girl who is too computer wise and had her fingers on a computer when she shouldnt have. Working around Charles has her heart pulling her towards him and her anger and unforgiveness pushing her away at the same time.

Charles Britton finds his attraction to Tessa hasnt changed in the year since they worked together. If he wanted to climb the success ladder though he needed to leave her behind. His coworker might be right in suggesting he starts dating and finds the right woman to help his career. Becoming a senior partner is whats most important in life after all, right?

Tessa is still a fairly new Christian and struggles with things like forgiveness. She has come a long ways from her old life but is still on her way to becoming a new creation and letting go of the old. Charles has some situations in his life that have him looking at his own walk with Christ.

I started reading and couldnt put the book down. Camy Tang gives the reader a story filled with adventure and suspense. And humor as well. Looking forward to the next book in this series.

The second book in the Protection for Hire series is an explosive title filled with thrilling car chases, up close and personal hostage situations and good old romantic suspense to keep the pages turning quick and the reader riveted.

I admit, I did not easily follow all of the suspense in this romantic suspense. I know, my bad, and I dont put the book down because of it. I one of those readers that loves a good suspense, but must admit, most of the time I cant follow the story line worth a hoot.

However, I can say that the writing was great. Words painted pictures on the minds eye and were always pretty clear about what I was seeing. When Gramps gave up the ghostwell I admit I was a bit sad to see that car of a character bite the exhaust pipe. Point of my telling you that? There is some fun situational humor mixed into the book which definitely gives it a rare, unique flavor.

Things I would have liked more of? A bit more romance. And a stronger story line about Tessas dad. But I have a feeling the latter might be coming in another title and there was plenty going on in Tessa emotionally to be adding anything else.

Fun title. Would definitely recommend that you read the first Protection for Hire before picking up this one. Both are fun, light and snappygood combinations for a contemporary novel.

This review is my honest opinion. Thanks to the publishers for my copy to review.
