Tightly woven story set in England centers around a bastard-made-good who masquerades as his assistant in order to assess a business deal based on revenge. In order to seal the deal, he is required to marry one of the spinster sisters... boy, does he get caught in his own trap! Great tension and dialogue between the characters, makes you feel like a "fly on the wall". Fun! Almost didn't give this one up!

While this book was quite steamy, I found it pretty short on story line and wrap up. Definitely not my favorite by this author.
a cute story about deception and intrigue. the swanlea sisters are doing just fine on their own and they naturally resent having a guardian. so they make a deal with the man who is determined to get the sisters off his hands by marriage to other men, but as the sotry moves along he cannot stand the thought of another touching what he considers to be his, namely the eldest daughter. some good shouting matches and some passionate scenes make this one a winner in my book

Fun and enjoyable!
i liked this book, i liked the sisters and their drive. the eldest is fighting for independence for her and her sisters to chose to live their lives as they want and pick their own husbands and in the process she ends up falling for the very man they are fighting aginst. there are difinately some steamy scenes and it leaves you wanting more of the swanlea sisters
Loved it!
Griff Knighton is the rightful Earl of Swanlea. To prove his legitimacy, and gain the title, he must ruin & give up the woman he loves, the current Earl's daughtter. Oh, what do to...........
He was the only man she ever wanted and the last man she could trust, unveiling his deception could cost her everything she values ::: including her heart>
This story was too wordy for me. I skipped a lot of the redundant dialog. Of course, I am not a fan of a shrewish heroine. Rosalind fits the shrew role in my opinion. The story is confusing at times. You will see why-it is hard to keep up with the 'hero' and his 'man of business'.
