This book comfortably moves along in chapters of its major characters' descriptions rather than the usual chronological sequence of events found in most books. This allows the reader a full understanding of each character and his/her motives instead of bits and pieces here and there. The last 1/3 of the book was a complete surprise.

It was good... very typical of Barbara Taylor Bradford. Fans of her books will enjoy this one as well.
I got this book through another book trade, but this isn't quite the type of book I read. I hope someone here would like to give it a try! :)

I love historical novels and her books read like them. This is a great read and most entertaining. Made me look forward to bedtime where I have a little time to read every day.

Another great book by Barbara Taylor Bradford. She's one of my favorite authors.
Wonderfully descriptive, I feel well traveled. The people were exciting and the reader really cared about them. The ending was unexpected and intricate in twists and turns. I really enjoyed this book.
