Absolutely spectacular! The three warriors of Clan MacLeod (Fallon, Lucan, Quinn) have been captured by Deirdre and the evil God of revenge forced inside them. This is Lucan's story. The brothers have escaped and spent the last 300 years hiding from the evil druid Deirdre in an effort to survive. They haven't really lived in all this time as they were just hiding inside their castle and haven't come out in over 300 years. Can you imagine?
When Cara stumbles upon the cliffs by MacLeod castle, without thinking, Lucan rushes outside to save her and it's lust at first sight. Oh did I forget to mention that Cara was from the local nunnery but hadn't as yet taken her vows? The sexual tension between them is intense. The revelations from Cara really floor the brothers almost as much as does the sight of their monsters. Deirdre's creatures attack many times and the fighting is unbelievably bloody and brutal.
All three brothers have suffered greatly but I really feel for Fallon because he actually believes he is unlovable because of the monster he carries inside. His soul is scarred and he doesn't trust his own judgment. The woman for him will be something else and the romance should be an intense love/hate relationship. I can't wait to read his story. And poor Quinn, he has no control over his beast at all and fears for his sanity. This series starter is just wonderful and these are characters you can really care about. This is a series that could be enjoyable for a long time. Hopefully there are plenty of warriors to warrant their own book.

It was a good read. It had some magic and fiery passion as well. I can't wait to read the next in the series.

I loved this book until I got to the end. I didn't like the ending, it just sort of left you hanging. Almost like the author forgot a chapter.
