I adored this book. Both the lead characters captured my interest because they were both so very fascinating. Prue has a rather unusual hobby of working for clients who believe they have ghosts in their houses and finding a logical explanation for the spectors. Sebastian also solves mysteries as a hobby, albeit ones involving theft and murder and such. In Dangerous these two unusual people are thrown together as a perfect match all around because they can be partners in both marriage and hobbies. I also recommend Surrender by Amanda Quick.

When Prudence Merryweather meets the Earl of Anglestone, Sebastian Fleetwood, at a party, they find they have much in common. Her hobby is investigating the paranormal and his hobby is hunting criminals. While looking for a necklace in their hostess' bedroom, they are caught and an impromptu engagement results. Soon they are married and investigating a possible murder where the main suspect is a member of Sebastian's family.

This is another fun story full of witty dialogue and unique characters. The mystery is interesting and definitely adds to the story. My rating: 4 Stars.

This was the first book I read by this author. I could not put it down. Prudence might seem dense at times but somehow her good intentions rubbed off on me had me cheering for her to get her happy ending.

This is a fun book, the story line moves along nicely, strong women characters in time when women weren't suppose to be strong. A good Amanda Quick book. You won't be disappointed.

I loved this book!! Prudence has to be one of the best women ever written in a historical romance. She was fearless and smart and I loved her! I loved how they wrote Angelstone - he was able to look past the "outer" looks and really see Prudence.

A fast and enjoyable read.

From a magnificent ballroom ablaze with lights to an imposing country house steeped in shadows comes a breathtaking tale of an impetuous miss--and a passion that leads to peril...

At five and twenty, Prudence Merryweather knew very well tht risks a woman took by visiting a gentleman in the dead of night. But bearding the notorious Earl of Angelstone in his den was the only way to stop him from engaging her hot-headed brother in a duel. And that was why she found herself ushered into Sebastian's frobidding presence at three int the morning--and thoroughly kissed before dawn.

She was a country-bred innocent--and an intriguing experience for a man who dwelt more in the shadows than in the sunshine. Yet as her boldness drew Prue into one dangerous episode after another, Sebastian found himself torn between a raging hunger to possess her and a driving need to protect her. And the reckless beauty would soon need all the protection she could get...
